The MANJUNG 4 Power Station, which is located in Malaysia, is composed of:
- One two-pass, ultra-supercritical, once-through pulverized coal boiler
- One steam generator with one high-pressure, one intermediate-pressure and three doubleflow low pressure turbines
- One two-pole turbo-generator with water/hydrogen cooling
- Environmental control systems (seawater flue gas desulphurization and pulse jet fabric filter) to reduce flue gas emissions
This unit is designed to deliver 1080 MWel gross at the nominal ambient conditions. The power supplied by the plant is in the form of three-phase 50 Hz AC, at a nominal voltage of 500 kV. The basic operation mode is to supply this electrical power to the grid in accordance with the Malaysian Grid Code and Employer’s Power Purchase Agreement.
